Southern Africa is the southern-most region of Africa.
Southern Africa is home to a number of river systems; the Zambezi River being the most prominent. The Zambezi flows from the northwest corner of Zambia and western Angola to the Indian Ocean on the coast of Mozambique. It flows over the Victoria Falls on the border between Zambia, in the north and Zimbabwe, in the south. Victoria Falls is one of the largest waterfalls in the world.
Tanzania is a country in East Africa. It borders Uganda in the north, Kenya in the northeast, the Indian Ocean in the east, Mozambique and Malawi in the south, Zambia to the southwest, and Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the west. Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, is in northeastern part of Tanzania.
